Coloração dorsal marrom-escura a fusca; área posterior do pronoto com faixa estreita marrom-alaranjada; área triangular clara no ápice do cório. Antenas e pernas branco-amareladas.
Convolvulaceae: Ipomoea spp. (Henry, 2022).
Registros de Cyrtocapsus femoralis para o Brasil atribuídos por Ferreira & Rossi (1979), Ferreira & Henry (2011) e Vélez et al. (2020) devem corresponder, na realidade, à espécie C. rostratus.
